Charlie Getz

Charlie is well know for his wit and ability to poke a little fun at the layouts, modelers, and
Hobby Shops he experiences whenever he attends an NMRA® Convention. Many of you
might not know that he is also the official caretaker of 'Malcom Furlow's Layout'. Charlie
writes a monthly column in the Narrow Gauge Gazette and is an excellent modeler. I
might also add, he has one of the most complete, well stocked, I'm never going to
get to all of these unopened kits, 'Hobby Shop' in the basement area of his
home in the San Francisco Bay area. If he ever takes it public, he will
probably put Franciscan Hobbies out of Business over night. In fact,
it's rumored that they actually pay him a small fee each month
as an incentive not to do so! Of course he denies this,
but a little extra cash never hurt anyone.
