We have a very busy schedule of events to educate and entertain you from the time you arrive to when you (reluctantly, we hope) have to leave!
Layout Tours - visit home and club layouts
Operations - participate in home and club operations sessions
Auctions - If you like auctions, we are planning 3 different types: Live, Silent and Hobo - we'll start with a live auction, then move into the Hobo (Chinese) auction - both great fun!
Prototype Tours - learn about past and current railroad and trolley activity in the San Diego area, take a trip to the Mission, store and dining in San Juan Capistrano, take a ride on the train at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo and tour the museum, or tour the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum in Vista.
Non-Rail - the week is full of activities for non-rail / railette members
Swapmeet - Got things to sell? Need to clean out your train room of stuff you no longer need? Or are you looking for finding that one item that someone else may think is “junk”. Come to the Convention Swapmeet on Saturday, September 15th in the Courtyard Marriott parking lot (parking is free). Convention attendees get free admission, and a discount on seller tables. Hey, who knows what treasure you’ll find, or get rid of! To reserve a swapmeet table, go to the Company Store. Click Here to download a copy of the Swapmeet brochure.
Awards Banquet - Saturday evening will be the PSR Awards Banquet. Guest Speaker: Clark Kooning, well known modeler and clinician, and Modeling With The Masters.
Hobo Breakfast - a PSR Hobo is defined as one who has attended a NMRA National Convention outside of their home region. The Hobos gather for a breakfast on Saturday morning to swap stories, make friends and generally have a good time.
