The 12’ x 22’ outdoor garden railroad is situated in the rear corner of a single family lot in central Anaheim. The layout consists of two loops of track with crossovers.

The layout is set up to run as both track powered and in a “DEAD RAIL” operation. The locomotives on the railroad have been either converted to run solely on battery power or have been fitted with the connection to a “battery car”. The battery car has the capability of being controlled remotely via wifi from a smart phone.

In order to achieve its scenic mandate, there are a variety of landscaped areas from rock outcroppings and boulders, to desert with cactus, to shrub and pine forest. Most of the terrain has been created with the use of an exterior hard shell technique and planting in pots.

The layout has derived it name from both the scale of the equipment and the proliferation of lizards who inhabit the area.
